Well the GTX 560 is supposed to be about the same as a GTX 460, and a GTX 460 pretty much exactly the same as a Radeon HD 6850.

That being said, I would go with the 6870.

if minecraft and OpenGL games in general are what you want performance in, then Nvidia is where its at, ATI/AMD has shit support for it and a 9800GTX+ could render minecraft better than a 5850, I know this from experience and research

if you want a solid number for minecraft with a 128*128 texture pack your looking at running about 200-300 frames a second average with a 560.
