I have a gtx 560 I was thinking about getting a 1440p monitor. I would mostly be getting it for games and I guess productivity. I would like to know if it would be an issue for some games to run at decent graphic settings at 1440p, games like Crysis 3 or Battlefield 3. I suspect a gpu upgrade will be useful, but not necessary. Thanks in advanced.
umm... a 560... not gonna happen. try like 580, 670, 680, 7950, 7970, etc
Would you say it is the gpu power or the amount of ram
It sounds like i just need to try one out and see what I like, I feel like having the extra resolution is better than having the settings maxed out, but I'm not sure.
The 560 is too weak and has too little VRAM to play at 1440p at even the lowest settings in modern games. If you have the money for a 1440p monitor buy a 770 or 7970 with it.
Well that explains alot. Remind you this comes from a guy who thinks 4 gigs of ram is enough for gaming and 1 gig 7850 is going to get 60 fps average.
The GTX 560's GPU is too weak, and it also doesn't have enough VRAM.
