Sorry if this is the wrong section, I'm not sure if it's more suited for a different section because it's about Rockstar Social Club, or this one because it's about PC gaming.
This morning I felt like playing some more GTA V on my PC, so I load it up, and the launcher does it's thing.
Then it stops and tells me I have to log in again; so I do, and it tells me my information is wrong.
Well that's weird, caps isn't on, my username doesn't have a typo, and I'm sure I typed my password correctly.
To avoid any errors in my password, I typed it into a notepad and copy/pasted it into the login, still wrong.
Odd. I'll try the rockstar social club site to be sure I'm not hacked like many others. I load it up and I'm already logged in, so I log out and log right back in - with the same copy/pasted password from earlier. Even more strange, it worked, but the launcher didn't.
Well, it says "Nickname/Email", so I'll try my social club email. Nope, still "wrong"...
I googled Rockstar's customer service number, because they've hidden it on their website. They tell me to screenshot it and send it to them via email, so I do this, and over 12 hours later I still can't play this game because of the broken login.
Now I'm locked out of my own account because I've logged in "wrong" too many times, and it's been locked for at least 8 hours. What the hell, Rockstar.
This is the first problem I've had with GTA V since it launched, and it seems I'm the only one having it.
So I can't play a game that I intended to play OFFLINE that I paid $70 for, because of an issue that is completely nonsensical.
Random side thought: People get PISSED when a Ubisoft game on steam makes you log in through uPlay as well as Steam, why is no one making a fuss about this Rockstar social club login? Am I just missing the posts everywhere about it? It's not like R*SC is known to be good, it was garbage in GTA IV, and it's obviously still not that great now.
