GTA V confirmed for PC

I am really hyped for this game, best buy sold me a per order almost 3 years ago and I'll finally be able to cash it in!

For me it's just another sandbox game. I doubt that it will able to impress me like VC and SA could in their own time, mostly because of saturation with the genre.

I'm getting this again on PC. I would love to see the improvements from PS3 to a high-end PC.

Dont fuck this port up rockstar!!

I'll wait for the mods.

i wouldn't say the genre is anywhere near saturated, but personally i would probably enjoy saints row, prototype, and others a lot more

Ehhh...

I have it for the 360 and while I'm sure the graphics and mods will definitely improve the experience on the PC, especially because texture pop in was such an issue, I don't really care.

I thought the game was Mediocre and one of the weaker titles in the series. The story was stupid, characters terrible, dialogue poorly written, and some of the missions were horrible. The heist thing was neat but not enough choice involved on your part. So really Idc much about this. May get it once it is out for a while and is available for $3 on Steam.

The multiplayer on this game is very fun as a time killer.

Games a time killer once you have finished the campaign. I might pick it up. But ill wait for the discounts. Seeing as I was able to play it on xbox I have no real desire for it. Once the modding community pulls through or decent DLC is released like with GTA 4, Ill buy in but ehh. They took way to long for the PC port.

Shit, I actually thought it wouldn't happen! Who knew they'd re release the game a whole year later!

GTA has become more and more tame over the years, but I don't that change is bad. There are a lot of new mechanics, and ... well, you've played the game. And Trevor makes your argument invalid:

I was hooked on it for a long time, got about a third of the way through, but I got fed up with the PS3's limited hardware - everytime I switched to a character, I'd have to pull out my phone and check FB or something because it took too damn long. It just ruined it for me. I'm amazed it runs at all on the consoles, but they're definitely not up to deliver a truly enjoyable sandbox experience with their slow storage.

It's inevitable I'm getting GTA V, the question is when? With that said, I'm also hoping for a discounted price since I already bought it on PS3.

Finally! I am glad i skipped Hype Dogs.

I'll buy it when it goes on sale. Don't think GTA is top of the games pile any longer

Agreed

PRAISE GABEN. I had to buy Gta V on xbone 360 so i could enjoy my favorite game series. But finally it's coming.

More and more tame? I said nothing about that. If anything this was one of the least tame games in the series, especially compared to GTA IV.

You got a third of the way through? So you didn't finish it? Well that explains it. I did. The endings, all three of them, are shit.

Yes, lots of new mechanics. Too many IMO. They weren't tutorialized for half the game like in GTA IV but still they were there and most of them served no real purpose. It really emphasized the lack of focus this game has. It is a mess.

Having three characters was a mistake. Trevor makes my argument invalid? No. He is the argument. Trevor is one of the worst characters in the history of writing and was one of the main reasons I didn't like the game very much.

I have it for the 360 and the loading times are fine. Switching between characters takes no more than 5-10 seconds with most of that time spent watching a map zoom in.

Car physics were better than in GTA V but still terrible as were plane physics. I also had an issue where driving over the slightest bump or hitting something at two miles an hour would cause the vehicle to fly into space or explode and kill me.

Random violence wasn't very fun wither since they modified the police to be incredibly difficult and more of a chore to fight than fun.

Generally it was a weak title. I'm not saying you did this but it seems so many people hate on me when I bring up these valid criticisms. They leap to the defense of a video game and a massive corporation. I think it is simply because they aren't having as much fun as they have convinced themselves they are having and any time someone brings up an issue it makes them feel insecure.

Got an email for this lastnight.

Pooped my pants.

Rockstar took way too long for this port. Im glad i went with Watch_Dogs. I like the fact that I can whip out my phone and just hack anything I want. Sucks that the PC port is HORRID and poorly optimized. I have the specs to run it yet im getting fps drops and studdering out of the ass.

Ah, I see the problem - you take the game way too seriously. Criticizing this game as harshly as you do is like criticizing Weird Al for his songs being nonsensical (it's kinda the point). GTA has always parodied real life issues, and over the series these parodies have been less and less over-the-top - that is what I meant by more tame. Trevor is a hilarious and unpredictable character, which is why he's so enjoyable. Again not to be taken seriously - nothing funny about meth heads, but when you take it that over the top, it's hilarious. And criticizing a sandbox game for lack of focus is laughable for obvious reasons - with a sandbox game, you're meant to explore; ironically enough, I think the game is focused, just on exploration, not necessarily story. Again, you're taking the game too seriously. There is a story for those that are so inclined, but the main reason people play GTA is for the little things, like causing mayhem, or mini-games, customization, etc. My brother and I have played the game for hours passing the controller every time we die, and all we did was just random violence - there were often funny and we were just laughing our asses off the whole time.
