Recently on the Rock Star Social Club website it was discovered that a pc section is hidden in the code for the platform selection.

Any thoughts on if this actually means anything or is it just a web dev messing with the internet?

I bought the game on PS3 second hand, and I really liked it, but the limitations of the PS3 were frustrating and as a result, I never completed it. So, if Rockstar releases GTA5 of PC, great, I'll buy it full retail. If not, well... I have no idea why Rockstar would just turn a blind eye on such a huge market. Makes absolutely no sense. So really, my whole attitude about this GTA5 port is "Shut up and take my money!" or "Shut up and you can't have my money!" because either way, the teasing needs to stop.
I would probably buy it if it came to PC. But the hype for the game has disappeared. Does anyone care anymore? It doesn't bother me if it comes to PC or not.
I think they are trolling PC gamers. If they really wanted to release it, they would've done so. Does porting really take that long? Many people have lost their enthusiasm about this game, mostly due to rockstar.
I would say its just a placeholder. The way Rockstar are acting and making statements makes me think that not only will it not come out for PC, it wont come out for the new current gen consoles. Which is a shame because its a good game, Its just hampered by the consoles as it pushes those consoles so fucken hard.
It took GTA 4 forever to come out on PC. There were some articles last year saying that there was confirmation that it WOULD come to PC. Just did not know when.
They're going to wait until the hype is low, like last time, put out some DLC, and bump it to the PC, just like last time.

except its already been longer since the release of GTA V compared to how long it took for GTA IV to be released on PC. It took GTA IV I thin 216 days? I was taking a look at it last night and well its been 242 days since GTA V was released. With nothing from Rockstar. Remember anyone who comes out with a rumor gets money from add revenue. Some sites say it will come out next month or a year after release or end of the year. Some say they were holding out to wait for watch dogs to compete directl;y with watch dogs. All I know is there have been a lot of rumors with exact dates and none have been true yet.

Agreed. The hype will return once it hits the pc market, just as gta4 did. The dlc's and mods will push the game to the #1 spot practically overnight.

Although I poured about 30hours on the console version. I would buy it again on the PC in a heartbeat. Just for the mods. My best and earliest PC gaming moments was modding GTA vice city, San Andreas and GTA3. Not to mention GTA is my favorite all time game series.
fact is the PC market is not big for them. So they arent in a hurry if at all.
GTA 5 is not even out for next gen consoles, and we probably wont see a PC version until after it is out for the Xbox one and PS4.
It will probably hit all three at the same time. The PC version will most likely be a port of the next gen versions.
Looking forward to the PC port. Loved the game on ps3, it just looked bad at 30fps and old gen graphics.

I will probably play GTA 5 when I have nothing to do, because it's one of those AAA titles that are just meh.

Why would they launch for PC before PS4 and Xbox One? It does not make any sence from a marketing standpoint. They would make more money selling first for PS4 and Xbox One and then Release later for PC. At best we can expect PC to be released with the new consoles.
GTA V was medicore. I don't really care to be honest.

Because it would be cheaper to port the PS3 and 360 version than it would the ps4/XBO version.
They could also use it to bridge the sales gap between the two generations.
