Okay so if you played games in the 90s, you may have herd of a game called Grim Fandango, and you may also have herd at a PS4 event last year, the game was been remastered and coming to PC, well I have news for you fans of the game

Its released 27th Jan, and you can pre order it now.
The game its self is a graphical update, but for £9.29 its got to be worth it, seriously, one of my favorite games of all time, so simply gog
I am disappointed with Double Fine currently. Regardless of whether or not this remaster is any good, where did they procure the funds for this?
Was it from the Kickstarter for Broken Age where they did not have enough money to complete the entire game and released the first half of it? Was the money saved from cutting development for Spacebase DF-9 where they slapped a release sticker on one last update and told players that mods can finish the rest of it, because so many features were left broken or missing? I have not played Hack 'N Slash, but many people are reporting it to be a mess of a game.
I want to like Double Fine, but they do not make me feel confident about their ability to deliver what they promise, considering what all they've done recently. Personally, I would stay away from pre-ordering this and just wait for some reviews. All they are offering as pre-order bonus is a wallpaper anyway.
Actually the money came from the fact Sony was interested and they expect across PC/Vita/PS4 that the game will be profitable for the level/costs of remastering they have done. It is not a full blown remake. It is still original assets at 4:3 screen aspect ratio.
I understand the frustration with Double Fine but Spacebase DF-9 was going to be throwing more money after bad and Double Fine can't take an even bigger loss like an EA etc. They need to back projects that make money or they will go broke - they are barely afloat. The frustrations at the delays and cancellation are not cause money is being dishonestly funneled away to other projects. Sony would never back it on a "when you get to it" mentality.
I will buy it on release if it works cause I love the game. If the game is bad (won't be) I won't part with my money. Simple and fair.
