I'd like to hear everyone opinion on What is the current 'bang for your buck" card out there for gaming.
whats your budget?
150~
also: this is going into project 'your going to burn in hell'
3.6P4 HT 4 gigs ram 500W PSU
hmm ok well what i dont really want to help you now :P..
umm what type of performance do you want like beast or just good enough to run everything at like medium?
if you want to spend all the money get a 4870
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102801
or get a 4850 for 95$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102770
since its a p4 though you may have an AGP slot so make sure....
A 4870 1GB or a GTX 260 core 216
it does have a X16 express slot. XD
but i will take those into account.
EVGA GTX 260 Core 216. Beats a stock HD 4870 in most games.
GTX 260 core 216 is about 170, a little too expensive.
There are 4870 1GB cards available for $150.
A Pentium 4? If it does have a PCIe x16 slot, it's a 1.0 slot, so the 4870 wouldn't get enough bandwidth.
So i think it would be best to go with a 4850 at most.
20 bucks more to trash the 4870? earn em'
hmm..
i have come across someone local selling this.
should i just get this or find another graphics card?
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core 940 3.2 GHZ socket 775
Video Card: EVGA 8600gt 512MB DDR2 PCI-express
Ram: 2x512 Samsung pc4200 DDR2
Motherboard: Is from an hp compaq presario sr2150nx.
price is 100 bucks.
Hmm 100 bucks isnt much.. but the pc isnt much aswell..
HP motherboard.. means you cant overclock.. and I thin kthe cpu is fairly weak.
Well.. its your coice, its cheap. If you dont have a pc right now and just need something to use, go for it. But be sure to test it out before you buy it
i looked into this board and it originally came with a Celeron® D 3.33GHz,
not sure if its good or bad that someone already tried to modify it
lolwut? The 1GB performs pretty close to the GTX 260Â core 216.
