I am building a gaming/editing PC on a tight budget ($1,300 without peripherals). I need to know if this graphics card is ok or if i should think about getting a better one.
2GB AMD Radeon R7 260X Overclocked (896 Streams), D-Sub/DVI-D/HDMI
Any help would be appreciated.
For $1,300 you should get a much nicer graphics card, what's the rest of you specs?
take a look at the R9 280x probably the best performance for the money and only about $300
This is the rest of the spec
MSI B85M-E45 Intel® B85 uATX Motherboard
New 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4770 Quad Core Processor (3.5GHz, 8MB Cache)
8GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory (2x4GB) Kit
550W HEC Desktop Power Supply
1TB SATA III 6Gb/s, 7200rpm, 64Mb Cache, 8ms Hard Drive
5.1 High Definition onboard sound card - 6 Channel Cinema sound
Cougar Solution Mid Tower ATX Gaming Case - Black USB3
You don't need a soundcard
It's onboard, it is preinstalled on the motherboard, so technically its free with the motherboard.
I maybe mistaken though, if you are buying a separate sound card then you don't really need it. Unless you are an audiophile.
No it is pre built on the motherboard your right
that really $1300 worth of parts?
Maybe this instead. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2eqaU
I'd go this route http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2erSk
