I would say wait. 800 series is just around the corner. Looks like the 880 womt be maxwell but amd has pushed nvidia to release the original 880 the 780 ti. So if you wait you should get a bargon on a 780 ti or spend a bit too much and get the 880. Bht I would highly recommend the 780 classified. Amazing card. Upgrade to a 780 ti acx for an extra boost if you want.
Just don't buy an SSD with a Sandforce controller (like the above Kingston). They may benchmark well, but that's because the controller compresses data before it is written to the cells. When it comes to incompressible data (movies, music, encrypted data, archives) the performance hit is very noticeable.
EDIT: for $600, buy the AMD Radeon R9 290X ($550), better than the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 780 ($500), but less performance than the 780 Ti ($750, you pay a premium for the best single GPU card). Make sure you get a card WITHOUT the reference cooler, those are too noisy.
Thanks im probably gunna go with the r9 290x and overclock it a bit. for the price do you think thats my best option? I really cant go for 780ti its just out my budget. So is the 290x good? if so im gunna oc it :)
Are you in a hurry? Anandtech reviewed the Sapphire 290 (non-X) with the Tri-X cooler and they were extremely impressed with it. The 290X with the Tri-X cooler will launch soon. (EDIT: link http://www.anandtech.com/show/7601/sapphire-radeon-r9-290-review-our-first-custom-cooled-290/6)
Sapphire labels their boards based on the overclocking potential like this: OC, Vapor-X and Toxic (Toxic is the version with the most overclocking potential). When they come out pick the one you can afford.
I cannot afford one so I haven't been particularly interested in custom designs for the 290X, but the Sapphire card caught my eye. I am sure others will give their input (Asus seems to be a forum favorite).
The difrence between the 290 and 290X is minimal, the GTX780Ti is offcourse the fastest single gpu on the market right now, but it is not that much faster as an R9-290 especialy on higher res.. its definitely not worth the price diffrence. ☺
I got PowerColor's R9 290x PCS+. HardwareCanucks regarded it as the best R9 290x they've reviewed. It's probably the only one that competes with MSI's Lighting edition of R9 290x.
The R9-290 Tri X is a beast, just look how close it is, to the GTX-780Ti. for alot less money in Europe. especialy on higher res gaming, But i allready said that. ☺
