so the cpu is the i7 4771 and i need a grapichs card for it, which one would be recommended for that cpu? motherboard is the asus z97 gryphon armor edition with 16gb of 2133 Mhz ram
Depends on how much you can pay for one.
Blindly I’d say a GTX1060, RX580…
in terms of dollars i’d say 200, can stretch it to 250

I have one in my Mac Pro so I can have Mac firmware and Linux optimized firmware
for sure great bang for the buck if you can snag a 1080 on Craigslist or like would be the real win
That CPU should be able to handle nearly any graphics card if you run the resolution and rendering options up high enough.
So if you want to, put a 2080 Ti in there and run RTX at 4K.
That is not the most cost effective way to go of course. But don’t think your CPU limits how high your graphics card can go.
If you’re running a low resolution like 1080p then of course at some point the CPU cannot feed it new frames faster than it renders them.
mostly its a pc i am giving away and they are going to play at 1080p
