Graphics Card Compatabilty

I am upgrading an old rig and I am on a budget. I am getting the mother board for it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157303 and this graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125430 . The motherboard has one PCI Express 3.0 x 16 slot but he card is PCI Express 2.1 x16. The motherboard also says that it a 2 PCI express 2.0 x16 but it says 1@x4.

Will this Graphics Card work with this motherboard?

Yeah you can run a PCI-E 2.1 card in a PCI-E 3.0 slot.  The only difference is the slot will then run at 2.1 speeds instead of 3.0, which isn't really a big difference anyway.  The jump to PCI-E 3.0 was pretty unnecessary and really doesn't improve performance in most cases.

So yes, it'll work :)

As AbstraKt said, there will be no difference or loss in performance. Cards don't even use 2.0 fully yet.
