I recently had to reload my Windows 10 VM since the VM would not start and Windows Repair would not fix the problem. My fault for getting to aggressive on removing bloat from Windows 10. Anyway I am sliding off topic.
My original VM had Windows 10 build 1903. This build rarely had the GPU (AMD RX 590) reset bug. When I reloaded the VM I used build 2004 and now I have the reset bug 100% of the time.
My conclusion is that this bug is connected with the Windows 10 version or settings within the version since I used the exact same VM for the reload. In other words nothing changed but the OS software.
Does anyone know of any Windows settings that effects the PCI bus power settings? Maybe changing a registry setting would enable the GPU to reset?
