I have asked this before, and got a great response. However since I ask the original question I have upgraded the motherboard and I'm not sure the GPU suggested in the original thread would be the best for budget.
I have a budget or no more the £170 ($270)
A R9 270X card was suggested, is that still a good option?

If the price on that 270x(or a 7870) hasn't jumped,then yes,it is a great buy.The prices on AMD card hve gone up due to crypt0-currency mining. If you can find a 79x0(280x) at your budget,get that.
you could get a r9 280x or a gtx 770 both are great cards and peform at 1080p almost the same at higher resolutuions the r9 280x will be better

Ok it's just over budget but its what I would go for. 270x is another great buy.

It may be over budget, but squeeze some more money to get a 280X, like everyone else says here.
Or if it's not an option, the GTX 760 is also a good buy. Last time I checked, it was $250.
