GPU Temps damage motherboard

Hi guys my GTX550ti is faulty and ive only recently realised after downloading some temprature monetering software that it was running underload at 92 degrees. becasue im replacing the card im not too fussed if thats being damaged because of the high temps. But could my motherboard have being damaged or the PCI slot its in being situated in. Thanks

Really unlikely, like really. The heat generated comes from the main board on the card so it's far away from the PCI slot. Motherboards are also built to ridiculous heat standards, some boards can go up to 100C (yeah celsius) so you should be fine.

Don't you have a single casefan?

That alone should really keep your pcie's for going as hot as you think they were :)

thanks guys youve put my mind at rest :) thats really good to here and yeah ive got two 120mm fans.
