I got PCIe passthrough working with my Threadripper and a GeForce 6600GT using the bus reset patch! However I’m noting now that it looks like SeaBIOS doesn’t initialize the card leaving the display blank until the OS boots and the driver inits the card.
My goal with this particular old GPU was to try passing it through to DOS for very specific reasons, so was wondering if anyone knows if I’m SOL in this regard or if there’s some setting that I should look into to get the card initialized by the BIOS?
Unfortunately the terms for what’s happening are too ambiguous to really be searchable so haven’t had luck finding anyone talking about this problem, but I noticed in the Level1Techs videos that things like the Windows boot splash are missing which would be related.
