GPU not running at full potential after mobo ungrade

So im not too sure where to put this thread so i put it in the most active one.

Recently i got myself a maximus Gene vii, updated all the drivers and made sure everything was conected.

The problem i have is with the gpu and how it isnt running at its full potential on CSGO inparticular, as well as the cpu as a matter of fact.

Now i had the same set up with an Asus H97M E and i used to get 250+ fps and a clock of 980mhz and now im getting 50/70 fps with a clock of 400mhz (as if it is running on idle speed) i have an r9 380 from msi with all updated drivers amd bios version 3003

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

HI.
Are you sure you have FRTC (framerate target control) disabled? The last few iterations of the drivers has introduced it to the world.
Before the upgrade, what was your motherboard?
Did you reinstalled everything or just the motherboard drivers and installed the new ones?

Hmmm i havent heard of that option before. Where would I be able to find it? In the amd crimson settings itself or...

Currently I have an ROG Maximus Gene vii before I had an Asus H97M E. Yup I installed the mother board drivers, GPU drivers and the bios and that's it

My main question was, have you reinstalled the OS, or just drivers and stuff?

For the Frame Rate Target Control: In the Crimson Program go to the games section and select global settings to see if it's activated and check the csgo profile too just to be sure

Oh right whoops sorry. yes just the drivers. Not the os.

Alright thank you!!! I'll see what that does and let you know

yup both those options are disabled in the crimson settings. hmmmmm

Alright im an idiot... hahahaha iv solved the issue. For some reason it was set in the power saving mode in the power options menu. So i set it back to balanced and it was running back at its full potential hahaha 250+ fps again wooooo :DDD

Thank you for you time and efforts :D

Believe it or not, that would have been my next question before telling you to just reinstall the entire OS and everything...
