GPU issue still unsolved for 1 year

i posted in this forum 1 year ago and was not able to find a solution to my problem, so i will post it again.

1 year ago i downloaded far cry 3 (pirated) and installed the game. Immediately after install my gpu started to overheat and run at 99% activity till it hits 91 degrees and i get a BSOD. Today, after 1 year i tried to install the game again and the same this happened.

I've already uninstall far cry 3 and the problem still persists. My GPU now starts to ramp up in speed and temperature as soon as i switch on my computer, even before windows starts to load.

Right now i have downclock my gpu to gpu clock 300 MHz and Memory clock 150 MHz and temperature started falling slowly from 70 degrees to 37 degrees (normal)

I think i solved the issure, i just installed AVG and it immediately detected what i would assume is a trojan called svchost.exe. I will make a deep scan and let you know. Can't believe such a small virus prevented me from playing far cry 3 for 1 year.

It only occurs with this game? Sounds like bugged code.

Re-install your GPU drivers and see if the problem goes away. If you want to play the game, buy it.

svchost.exe itself is a Microsoft service that controls linked libraries. It is a generic name for this service. Although a virus could be disguising itself as one.

svchost.exe is actually a general program native to Windows. It can be used by unwanted programs, but it's also used by many legitimate programs as well.

yep the game installed a trojan horse, i confirmed it. thanks for helping anyway

lol. sorry but pretty obviously you installed malware that is using to gpu to mine coins.

how do you let this go for a year, then fix it yourself within 3 hours of your new post? I don't understand.

I have encountered a virus that did exactly that. Basically it tries to pretend to be a real svchost process but is not.

well no shit

if you're going to be a thieving dipshit you could at least do it well
