I am in the process of building my first PC for video editing on Blender and gaming but have been stuck trying to figure out what gpu I should get. I've been researching and have come up with three options a 970,780ti,or a 980ti. If anyone could help by giving me some advice on these three choices or chime in and give me information on other video cards that run well on blender I would really appreciate it. Thanks
I would say ignore the 780ti because it is an older architecture but that's just my opinion. You won't get a lot of the power saving features of maxwell and while kepler will probably be supported for quite some time there is always the possibility of maxwell specific features in the future. Although they may or may not matter to you.
I would say go for the 780ti cause it has more compute performance then the maxwell cards, which barely has any. that is of course if thats what blender uses. you'd also want what has the most memory since the ability to render scenes wil be limited by the gpu memory if you use gpu rendering.
