I just got a new build. I've built pcs before but never really on my own. So this was my first real time.
Things are fairly smoothly except for the fact that the pc didn't POST with the GPU in. I took the GPU out, and it POSTed. I don't get what the problem is...
Anyways, here are the specs (nothing is OCed yet)
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k
Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V lk
RAM: G.Skills Ripjaws 1866 CL9
PSU: NZXT Hale82 750W 80Plus Bronze
GPU: Sapphire HD 7950
SSD: Adata SX900 128GB
Cooler: Corsair H80
I got this build mainly for gaming so I can't stand not having a GPU for another day longer. Any help would be appreciated.
^ this, make sure its pushed all the way in, my first build i had a gtx 560 and i had only one of the connectors in all the way and it drove me crazy trying to figure it out, if not that possibly a doa card
This also might sound stupid, but are you plugging the monitor into the GPU or mobo? I've had friends pull this before after I built them a rig only to realize that it isn't working because they plugged the cable into the mobo.
