8800 GTS did not fare well. :P
8500 GT even less so.
That seems way too low. I would expect 550+ considering the 6770 managed to squeak out 576.
The Radeon HD 4870X2 coming in just slightly behind the GTX 295. With the 4870X2 coming out 6 months before the 295, that isn't that bad. nVidia had time to prepare.
This is also why I consider 2006-2010 the golden age of GPUs.
Both 295 and 4870x2 reference designs are darn sexy.
True dat. The GTX 295 was my wet dream card until the 6990 came out.
I really thought the 9800 GTX+ would do much better. Such an awesome overclock for such a mundane score.
Almost matched @lucimon97's GTX 550 Ti score though, which means that either this IS a fast as hell 9800 GTX+ or their 550 Ti is not performing well.
Try the 8800 ultra/gtx
Something tells me it would score more with a decent oc.
Next time I swing by the storage unit I'll grab the 8800 GTX. Have yet to get an 8800 Ultra but it's on my list.
8800 ultra is just a GTX with good binning and different memory chips.
8800 ultra was pretty monstrous of a card, unlike the titan series which just has more vram basically.
I really want to get a hold of 3 and combine it with my old 790i sli chipset for a nostalgia 07 build.
I remember the 8800 Ultra, no need to explain it. :P
I couldn't justify $600 for a GPU back then, and now today they are so useless that I can hardly justify $50 for one. I want to wait for one that is in good shape and has a box.
I did an '07 build a few months back with a Phenom X4, 8800 GTS and 790FX board. I'd love to give it triple-SLI but you need HyperSLI to unlock multi-GPU configurations. As it was I tried Tri-Fire 3870's and they just didn't work. I could not get any drivers to engage the other two cards during gaming.
Really true to the times, what with ATi's broken drivers from back then...
Try setting 1080p as a custom rez.
Tried. Didn't work.

It does tend to stay under 60°C at 100% load, so i might be able to push it a little...
Or i could just get another one of these... And about $1500nzd of custom loop lmao
60c at full load on water cooling?
Sounds a bit hot :o
