I’ve got one of these things, it is a really nice package. Mine is from one of the early batches so it has the z8700, but later batches got an upgrade to the z8750, and I think the later revisons even got an aluminum case. It works really well as a portable console that can get work done in a pinch.

The one in the video is a prototype for the GPD Win 2, which is aimed up market of the original. I think it has a 6 inch screen, a core m3, as well as some other upgrades over the original.

Im quite interested in these form factors with great specs but I just dont know than I would use it for. I think the Samsung / xioami dual screen products are more useful.

I would have one to carry around, and with Linux, do some… (interesting) work with.

For scale it’s about the size of a Nintendo 3DS, so its small enough to fit in a pocket. If you commute on a train at all it’s a great time waster. Productivity wise the usefulness is limited unless you wanted to make a docking station for it.

I’m sure there are some things that can be done with it given the time to look around

The GPD Pocket is the same thing but it runs ubuntu 14.04.
