As a first tattoo I'd give it a 10/10 but as a tattoo in general I'd say a 7/10
Could use some more detailed work but it still looks nice

The branches at the top came out great.
I was looking to get something similar actually. For future sessions maybe consider some irregular celtic knotwork? Get a cool Yggdrasil look going on. Definitely a neat first though.

Yeah I want to do some Norse/ Celtic style stuff eventually.

Looks good, personally I would go for some more detail around the roots like dirt, grass, mushrooms, broken swords. I just feel awesome tree should be accompanied by other awesome things.

Yeah I think I'm going to add onto it later, still deciding on what, I think a crescent moon would be cool too.
yeah, just some accents don't need to overwhelm the tree
Yeah, the guy offered to shade in the background next time, but I like the way it looks now, the contrast really makes it stand out.
