I attended the BlackBerry 10 launch event in NYC on Wednesday, and they gave away a BlackBerry Z10 to all that attended. I gotta say this device is awesome. It's a shame US carriers have fumbled on the launch and it wont be available here for the public til March while the rest of world gets it this week.
Specs:
1.5GHz S4 processor
4.2 inch display (1280x768), 356 ppi
Dual cameras - back 8mp (1080p video recording), front 2mp (720p video recording)
Those are some nice specs, the OS also looks decent. The problem I fear is that it has a few differences than other OSs in terms of how you use it (Partly due to Apple lawsuits). While this in itself is not a problem lots of people are lazy and wont be bothered to go through the menial learning curve. But I myself do not not problem with it. Also, I might be wrong about that OS thing. Now, BlackBerry needs to get a good library of Apps going and this may be a comeback, who knows. I always keep a little bit of hope for stuff.
I'm pretty surprised they didn't announce the number of apps waiting approval from dev jams. Apperantly it's close to 100k. So jealous of you. I don't think I can afford one until I get a job :(
