This is my first time posting here and I was wandering if anyone has used Google's Project Fi what are there thoughts on it . I know that you are locked to using Nexus phones since Project Fi uses both GSM and CDMA .
I love it. I have the nexus 5x.
- It's dead simple to get signed up.
- It's a cost effective solution for a single user like myself but not sutable for family use. You'll save money with another company's family plan.
- The nexus 5x is super affordable
- Republic wireless
- Works the same way
- will be getting all the same phones here soon
- is cheaper
- I love being off my previous samsung. I get android updates immediately now!
Do you know what networks Republic wireless uses for coverage?
for now, yes
I wont do it with my nexus 6P because I need my unlimited T-Mobile
sprint I believe.
google fi uses spring and t-mobile towers, most of which are rented from verizon
i like it so far, the phone more so than the service, which isnt bad, but i wish it was unlimited data too. but free roaming is a nice touch.
I signed my wife up for it. I have a company phone or else I would be on it too. She loves it, but I will say it took a little bit to get her data up and running. They needed to do some configurations for whatever reason. I was a big fan of the Nexus line. I had the 4, my wife had the 5, and now she has the 5x. My work phone is a Samsung Galaxy s7, and I honestly like her 5x better. It is near perfect and of course it runs stock Andriod which is always a plus.
It's the best wireless carrier I've worked with. There were growing pains when it first launched, but it's pretty damn solid now.
