Google giving out Chrome Browser CDs at Best Buy Cromebook displays

Do you remember the days when it was impossible to go shopping without passing by displays giving out free AOL CDs with fourteen days of no-cost service? Clayton Pritchard, a student at the University of Central Florida, posted photos on his Google+ account of a Chromebook display at a Best Buy store. Hanging on that display were CDs featuring the Google Chrome web browser.

We all know that sometimes Google will tend to advertise its products through the search giant's internet-wide web of in page adds, but will this attempt to spread its web browser around add to Google's profits, or even effect Chrome's market share among web browsers? I know that the next time I find myself in a best buy, I'll probably end up grabbing a disc to keep with me in case I encounter any of my friends that need a little liberation from the age old internet exploring days.

Seem like kind of a waste, but it might get some older people to buy it.

The more Google the better! Thats a great idea you have. Grab a mess of Chrome CDs and give the to everyone!

They're handing it out for free. For anyone to take. So honestly, I dont have a problem with that. It's stable, it's more secure, and it's even better than IE or Firefox in my opinion. Google may not be the best company out there, but they do seem to have their customers in mind most of the time. So they get my trust until they fuck up like all greedy people\entities eventually do.
