Google Chrome - Please Help!

Okay so a few weeks ago my brother borrowed my laptop to stream this boxing match he wanted to watch with my parents, so when he gave me back my laptop, there was literally so much spam files and junkware that he downloaded onto my laptop that Google Chrome now automatically installs these plug-ins that pop up adverts and all this other bullshit when I just browse the web. Even when I remove the plug-in, once I close the browser and open it back up, it's back again! This is such a headache for me, because I even went into to developer mode to actually search for the file to delete it at it's source but I've already deleted at least 50+ files that I don't even know where to look anymore, and the extensions are still on my Chrome browser. Please help, I want this shit GONE and off my laptop cause this was never an issue until my brother downloaded all that garbage on my laptop.

Here's a snapshot of what the extensions are:

Thank you to anyone who can help.

Did you try running Malwarebytes. It usually dose a pretty good job with that stuff.

Downloading it right now, I'll let you know what happens.

Good Luck!

It's scanning right now, but if this happens not to work, would you recommend doing anything else?

I assume you already tried some thing like is described here

Wow, so I cannot believe this but the extensions are still there after all those steps I did on that link man. It's kinda scary too that the permissions on those extensions says it can access my data on all websites. I'm really worried now. Is there anything else that you can recommend, I need this to be wiped off my computer.

OK.  INstall and run Malware Bytes.  Install CCleaner (www.piriform.com).

Open CCleaner and use the uninstall tool to remove everything that looks suspicious and also uninstall google chrome.

Boot Windows into safe mode and go through your hard drive and manually delete any and all program folders that look suspicious.  Manually delete the google chrome folder if it's still there.

Reboot windows into normal mode.  Run CCleaner again, and also run the registry cleaner.  Do not back up teh changes when it asks you.

Reboot again.

Install Chrome as a fresh install and see how it looks.

you can get the Id for the extension ID and remove it from the registry instructions here

Don't just run it, put your computer into safe mode and then run Malwarebytes. It'll find more stuff than it would in regular mode.

+1  ... Good stuff there!

It would be much easier follow the steps if you have the directions up on 2nd screen if possible.

Well how did it go?

Okay, first off I would love to thank you for all the postings here! After bout a few hours of installing, uninstalling, wiping, reboots, I did manage to get rid of the plug-ins. Thank you all so much for you support, I'm so relieved to have that garbage off my computer. <3

I'm Glad you got it Worked Out!
