First of all, i had problems finding the right subforum to post this, so if this is the wrong place, then i'm sorry.
Recently i've had problems with my pinned tabs in Chrome. I'm currently watching through a video series on the web, and to avoid losing track of what episode i'm on, i have pinned the site in Chrome. However, every time i shut off my computer, Chrome forgets what episode i was on. For example, if i started the day at episode 20 and shut off my computer in the night at episode 30, when i start Chrome again the next morning, it's back at episode 20. I then have to guess at what episode i was on the night before, and risk getting spoilers if i guess too high. It's really annoying to have to find the right episode every single day. Plus, currently my browser is stuck at episode 35, so even though I've reached episode 50 days ago, it starts up at 35 every day.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!
umm, it depends on the link etc, usually when you pin a page you pin that exact page, so as your watching episodes etc the address changes but when you re open your pinned page it goes back where ever you bookmarked.
have you tried re doing the bookmark each time your going to shut down and seeing if that resolves it.
Repinning the page worked! Thank you! However i still have a problem i forgot to mention. Every time i start my computer, and open Chrome, it says "Google Chrome was not properly closed. Restore your tabs" or something like that. Sometimes the restore button doesn't even work, so i have to press Ctrl+Shift+T, until i get my pinned tabs back. What could be causing Chrome to not "Shut down properly", even though i close Chrome, before i shut down?
do you close chrome before you shut the PC down, if chrome is open when you shut the PC down sometimes it thinks your PC crashed instead of shutting down, closing chrome fully first and then shutting down should stop the error.
Okay, i actually found out why chrome never closed properly. For some reason it was set to continue to run in the background, and as i always force shutdown (If i don't, my devices will still receive power, and will stay lit), which then kills chrome. Thank you for your help! :D
