Good Rig? Should I Get This? 2.6k

I'm investing into a new ITX build as a LAN Gaming system here is the worked out specs so far.

*NOTE*: I already have an ATX PC I am in need of a more portable desktop it needs the prodigy black & white

Is this a decent system? are there any changes one could suggest I am going for a silent build which will still pack a punch color scheme of black&white.

- budget: up to 4k

- live: Australia

- http://techbuy.com.au or http://ple.com.au (both are local)

-peripherals: yup

-use: gaming LAN build

-Overclock: possibility

-watercooled: Not really future possibility however

-OS: Win 8

-mining: nup

-settings: High

-resolution: 1080p but needs to be able to handle a 1440p

-games: Source engine unreal engine and other more graphically intensive games

-will play: Blacklight Retribution, L4D2, Crysis, MC, BF3 & 4

Very, very bad rig for the price.

rather unbalanced.

Here look at this :3       -->     ###

Shameless guidelines plug ;)

I regret nothing.

So do you have any reccomendations of changes?

We can't properly address changes if we don't know what you're going to be doing with it. 2.6K allows for alot of wiggle room all over the place- What are you needs? -answer the quidelines thread to make this easy-

You want small, and powerful? YOU GET SMALL AND POWERFUL.

3930k + RIVG + 780 >>>> 3770k + Z77E-ITX + 780.

Why? More threads, more power!

Better case, better CPU cooler, better fans, more SSD, appropriately sized and priced PSU (that can fit another 780), and overall, a better build.

you and your 2011 + insane ssds :P

If you'r getting a 512. Why not 256 in raid 0?

RAID 0 is pure evil. If you're going for speed, get RAID 5 for the added redundancy, as well.

Wait... You said your budget is up to 4k? USD or AUD?

I promise, I can deliver a tiny, watercooled, monster of a computer for 4k.

i forgot about 5.

+1

No need to knock on the door of the max. Leave some money left over for games and beer.

AUD but it needs to be in the prodigy I already have a proper rig in ATX form factor
this needs to be a portable LAN gaming PC

This is much better and a little cheaper:

RAID 10 master race

The TJ08B-E is a much better case than the Prodigy, and is still tiny!

CASE: black on white or white on black?- they cost the same.

AUD

Micro ATX can be portable as long as you get the right case, but Mini ITX is definitely more portable. Although, the Prodigy is kind of large for a mini itx case.

Ever consider getting a Cooler Master Storm Scout (either the original or the second one)? They're not huge, and they're very easy to carry around. Not to mention you could fit a regular sized ATX motherboard in it.
