hey ive been using a powerline adapter for a while now and since my wifi speed has increased quite a bit to more then powerline and ive decided to buy a wifi card with ac and 5Ghz so what do you recommend im using win 10
Price range? And laptop or desktop? If it's for a laptop go intel. Desktop wise Intel surprisingly doesn't have many that I can find, so TPlink and hell even Gigabyte have a couple.
oh yeah sorry desktop and any decent low price ones and also im in the uk
I don't think low price and AC go together, also you'll want PCI-e if your PC has a slot, USB isn't going to be too great for heavy use

Never had issues with TPlink, and they tend to be inexpensive.
A friend of mine has this in his system works fine.
(Sorry, in the US)
how much of a difference would there be between the one you posted and TP-LINK Archer T8E AC1750 Dual Band Wireless PCI Express Adapter with three Antennas its on offer for £40 at the mo
Is your wireless access point or wireless router capable of that bandwith? If its only for internet/online gaming then there is no point unless you are on 1 gigabit internet plan with router capable to deliver that speed over 5 GHz . It makes sense If you are connected to a bigger network like lan/ or storage server through AC point or wireless router (again your wi-fi access point has to be able to handle 1300 megabits over 5GHz if you buy model with 3 antennas) for backups , transferring a lot of data on regular basis.
we recently got a new router / modem witch supports 5GHz and the speed on 2.4GHz is pretty good so im wondering what it would be on 5GHz
Antennas: The More the Merrier?
It might help you understand, It all depends on your router if you benefit from 3 antenna card in your pc :) If card with 3 antennas is at reasonable price for you then get it. Even if you won`t have all the benefits now ,it might be useful later.
I can vouch, after getting the PCI-e I suggest running a test setup.
Definitely don't go with Intel Dual Band Wireless‑AC 7260. This thing is straight garbage.
sorry if this annoys anyone but is there any decent pci e network cards not pci since my pci slot is covered up by my gpu
Can you get a picture of your case internals or a parts list? I'm not sure which form factor you are exactly looking for.
Yeah so because that you only have a PCI slot available, there is no AC wifi cards that you can buy for that form factor. If you want you can go with a USB dongle although that is not as good, or you can try a higher end powerline adapter.
Something like this:
