Looking for a nice gaming keyboard and monitor to accompany my new computer. I won't be needing either until I move back to my dorm in about 3 months, so I have plenty of time to wait for a sale if need be.
For the keyboard: I would prefer it to be backlit, not have a number pad, and maybe go mechanical. To date I have never used a mechanical keyboard, and I've never really had any issues with past keyboards--so yea. Something to note, I happen to love laptop keyboards to traditional desktop keyboards--I just prefer the way they feel--and a mechanical keyboard may give more of that feel? I don't know what exactly to expect from one (I will try and get to the store to try some out in person).
So to sum up: It would be nice if it was backlit, didn't have a number pad, and possibly mechanical (looking at the different types of switches, I think I'd prefer brown, red, or black).
For the monitor: something in the 21" to 24" range that will complement my 4670k and GTX780 nicely. Thats about it.
Now for the tricky part....I'd like* to keep the price of both (combined) under $200 (at the most).
