Good CPU temperature?

So i have a 2500k with a stock cooler, running at 3.5ghz and no overclocking. At idle, the CPU temp is 32 degrees Celsius and the mobo temp is around 18 degrees Celsius. However, when i play BF4 the temperatures on the 4 cores reach up to 89 degrees Celsius. I am using Core Temp as a basis to read these temperatures. Does the core temp matter or does the CPU temperature matter?

Side note, anybody have a Asus R9 270 (not the 270x) ?

Yeah that's too hot.  Intel's spec sheet says 73 C is the max you should let that CPU run.  CPU temp only matters if it goes over the spec sheet limit.  As a safety feature, it would throttle at 98 C, but you shouldn't let it ever reach that point.  You should definitely get an aftermarket cooler for it.
