New to the site. Pretty cool looking, got some good info on here! :)
I've had the following build for about a year:
i7 2600k
ASUS nVidia GEFORCE 560 Ti
8GB Crucial 1600MHz RAM
650W Coolermaster PSU
Asus P8 Z68 V-Pro Mobo
2x 1TB Seagate Barracude Internal Hard Drive
1x 1TB External Seagate Hard Drive
Ever since I bought it, I've had trouble recording games - I'm a Youtuber, and really need to be able to hit 60fps on a game while recording.. however with my current build I'm struggling to hit 30. I average around 15fps while recording.
What do you think could be causing the problem, and more importantly, do you think a new build is in order? I have a decent sum of money saved up so I could splash out on a whole new rig but I don't know if that's necessary or not.
Also, if I were to buy a new rig, which parts could I salvage from the old build?
Just a new card will do, there is no need to upgrade what is plenty for todays games. I would say a new card and a clean install of of your OS with the latest drivers and your system will be proper fast again. FRAPS alone will take 15-25 FPS while recording at 1080, what kind of budget do you have for a graphics card?
If I'm only buying a GPU then my budget is probably a good £400 or so haha.
Also, I just ran GPU-Z while playing, and it looks like my GPU load is hitting 98% when I play games. I suppose my GPU is faulty? Or is that to be expected from a 560 Ti?
400 euros? For that kind of budget you can get a card that is bonkers fast, and yes it is your card sir. Are you looking to spend all of that budget or tell us what you rather spend or what performance goal you want. Also, what power supply specifically is it that you have?
