I've been looking all around for a Chromium alternative to Google Chrome, that focuses on privacy like removing Google's ties to the open source project. I've tried SR Ware Iron, but the newer versions seem to be completely broken. It has a lot of trouble playing html5 videos, and when I looked in to it the author removed Widevine Content Decryption module, which Netflix and youtube use for html5. Have you guys found better alternatives? I really want to keep the speed and simplicity of chrome, just without Google's ties to the program.
why simply not use chromium? not chrome, chromium, the light blue open source one. i use it and have a small program that checks for updates and updates it automatically.. never had a problem for over a year (or two? i cant remember when i started with chromium).
