Good 1200$ PC?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/M8t3WZ

Just wondering if this is a good build for a 1200$ price range and if i should make any changes

          .Thanks.

Ehh somethings are too expensive and others don't make much sense and that PSU is terrible.

For example the RAM you picked is way overpriced and you got a 4690k and an H105 but then chose a motherboard not designed for overclocking.

Slightly more than your build but it is more powerful, will OC like a beast and has an SSD.

550 watts? na dude. corsair? na dude(bad reviews).

get something like the V750

also, for the gpu, more games like nvidia over amd so r9 290 is good, but 780 is better

as for the ram, 1866 vs 1600 will be worth the extra 10 dollars

hyper 212 evo is alot like the noctua, but cheaper

thumbs up on dat SSD tho

Well dude.

The system won't be pulling over 450W so 550W is plenty. Corsair makes very good PSUs and I have personally used a few of that particular one and they have been great.

More games like nVidia? The 780 is better? What? No. The 290 is cheaper and 9/10 times it is faster.

He won't see any difference in game between the two RAM speeds. It isn't worth it. Plus 1600Mhz is usually the best balance between frequency and latency.

The Hyper 212 Evo is nothing like that cooler at all except in that they are both heatsinks and have a fan on them. The 212 is good yeah as an alternative to a stock cooler or for mild OCing but the Noctua rivals the Corsair H100 and will be much quieter.

Please. Stop spreading misinformation.

550 watts is plenty for this system.

Corsair's CSM isn't the top of the line stuff, but it's got good efficiency as well as decent ripple suppression and voltage regulation.  If the original poster would like to add a graphics card, then I would suggest something like a 850w power supply to handle two R9 290s.

R9 290s and GTX 780s perform very similarly...

Ram makes no difference in games.  If DDR3-1866 is really $10 more, then I might pick it up, but you won't notice any FPS differences.

lol.  Check up on the Noctua NH-D14, buddy.
