Gonna upgrade my pc and I need some advice

Hello,

Next week i'm gonna upgrade my pc because of my birthday on the 18th and i have a few options.

I have a gaming pc at my dad's house (The one i'm gonna upgrade) And i have a shit pc at my moms house where i'm gonna put my old parts of the pc at my dad's house in when that one is upgraded. This is all because my parents are divorced and i want to play games at both houses.

1st option:

I'm gonna get a GTX 670, A new mobo and an i5 3570k. And i'm gonna put the old parts from the pc at my  dad's house in the pc at my mom's house. But then i don't have a laptop or ipad for school and the other options do have that. (It's handy for taking notes at school because now i still use a notepad).

2nd option:

I'm gonna get a GTX 670, A new mobo and an i5 3570k. And i'm gonna put the old parts from the pc at my dad's house in the pc at my mom's house. Then i well sell the pc at my mom's house and i'll buy a laptop from a friend of mine. Which i can game on and i can use it on school. (It has an i5 and a gtx 460m)

3rd option:

I'm gonna get a GTX 670 and put it in my current system (And i know it will be bottlenecked by my cpu) And i'm gonna buy an ipad mini for school. Then i'm gonna put my gpu from the pc at my dad's house in the pc at my mom's house so i can play skyrim and games like that (I already tested it and they work on it). And then a few months later or so i'm gonna get a i5 3570k or i7 3770k (depends on how much money i've earned a that time.

So which option would be the best?

Current pc at my dad's house:

Amd athlon 2 X3 450 (triple core 3,2ghz).

GT 440.

4GB ram.

Thanks in advance.

first of all youll need to check your mums computer is capable of taking the proccessor (is it the right socket?) and other parts. then id say screw the iPad what happend to good old pen and paper. imo just build the PC salvage the parts to your spare if you can. then game away and write in school. if you must you could always pick up a cheap 300-400 dollar laptop if you really want electronic notes. thats my opinion anyway :D

How old is your mom's PC and what's in it? Also what operating system do both computers use and do you have a CD or USB for reinstalling it?

I like the second option. You'll get more gaming performance out of that laptop than you will with that older computer, and you'll still be able to take a laptop with you to school to take notes. Not to mention you'll be putting together a pretty awesome gaming pc as well.

The second option seems like the best option as long as your friend is willing to sell you the laptop.
