I am very happy to hear that GitLab was able to realize what they have done and corrected it accordingly. Only if more companies where like this… Thanks for sharing!

I hope they realized that they became popular after the GitHub acquisition by Microsoft and people who left GitHub for GitLab may not want the same telemetry that MS may do under the hood (secretly or otherwise).

So… good on them I guess?

Maybe. It is what it is. I’m sure they wanted to improve their product. From what I hear they aren’t doing as hot as they had planned.
