Looking at a build with gigabyte Z370 Ultra Gaming MB going to be using a gtx1080ti
Was thinking of using m2 pcie ssd would that course a bottle neck

It depends on the processor you want to use in that build.
If I’m not mistaken the motherboard can bottleneck only NVME raid… And that is intel’s fault for pooping up not enough lanes.
Other than that a single NVME and a single GPU should not bottleneck anything…
Be using the 8700k i7
There will be nothing bottlenecking nothing in that system.
Even SATA SSDs are good enough.
