Gigabyte WRX80-SU8-IPMI not posting

So I have the above mentioned motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 5965WX and can’t get the system to POST. I can confirm that the board LED’s, system fans come on, but just a black screen and can’t see or get into BIOS.
I’ve tried a few things here: clear CMOS, remove all unnecessary components, reseat CPU and RAM. I’ve tried to flash the BIOS with gigabyte F5 version which states support for Threadripper 5000 series, but no luck here. Tech support told me to use the onboard USB slot (Not the back plate ones) I took a usb 2.0 drive (fat32) and downloaded the the bios flash file, extract and kept and renamed the .bin to GIGABYTE.bin. Turn system off, but keep psu switched on, insert usb and press the quick flash button. But I get no feedback when pressing the button no LED indicator telling me if it started, in progress or finished.
Any ideas?

Have you tried logging into the IPMI?
By default it’s configured to grab an IP via DHCP so you wouldn’t necessarily need the BIOS to be accessible.

Thanks for the reply.
I was able to flash the BIOS after all. It can be picky with the type/brand of USB flash drive.
I used a 16GB USB 2.0 SanDisk and successfully flashed and system did POST.

Hi @arao888 ,

I have the same problem, but it does not seem to recognize any USB.
On which USB Port did you connect your drive ? BIOS or Onboard ?
