What to get, i am tempted to get the 990FXA but the 970A has better cooling. Witch one would allow me to overclock fx 6300 better.

How much do you think the mosfet cooling is the problem here. They can handle up to 150C. If they are a big problem here can i just get a cooler that would fit because there are screw holes where it should go.

well those boards are not that great to be honnest, allot of overheating vrm and voltage thorttle issues. However you are using a FX6300 which used a bit less power then a FX8350 for example. But these boards also had laggy bios issues, failing sata ports and what not.

But why are you looking at these old boards?

What is your budget?

but which one is better and  for the budget...well i got about 100€ to buy a psu, mobo and a case so thats why i am looking at this

then grab the 970A-UD3P or Asus M5A97 R2.0

still not what i asked for but ill throw in

M5A97 LE R2.0 in here as well

no not the LE. That things vrm and power delivery are laughable

what about this?

one more time if only 2 motherboards on the world were these 2 which one would you choose

but its only 95W tdp

Go with the 970, if your using the fx6300 i doubt you ever use crossfire/SLI so theres no real gains in going for the 990fx.

well i will never use sli buy maybe i will crossfire, so you are saying there is no real benefit going with the 990fx

But you're going to be overclocking it.

You can crossfire on 970 but its not very good since the amount of pcie lanes is so small. It can bottle neck cards since the pcie lane count is so small

Well i will only overclock slightly at first and then after a couple years i push it as hard as it goes and see how long it lasts

It's a 4+1 vrm with no cooling. Then even worse is that it doesn't even have a 8 pin cpu power port, only a 4 pin. It's ridiculous to do any over clocking on it at all.

Basically this.

sli or crossfire your best bett will be 990FX

Asus M5A99FX pro R2.0 or Asrock 990FX killer, But your budget will be too low for that probably.
