Gigabyte G1 R9 390 fans not working

I've seen that some GPUs have their fans off until a certain temo, but I was wondering if that was the case with this GPU, and if I could change it. I'm new to this and don't know much about BIOS and tweaking with things

BOY is Gigabytes Site a mess...
In case of the "GV-R939G1 GAMING-8GD" the fans stoping is a feature.

If you want the fans to run constantly you could just set a custom fan curve in MSI afterburner or SpeedFan

My G1 390 fans don't run until temps are over 60°C, which is nice for quiet, idle work, but my temps stay around a constant 55-60° because of the "silent" feature of the card. I probably would have gotten something else, but my case is pretty damn short and this was the only card in my budget that would barely fit.

Though I haven't tried it, RobDog's advice is usually the way to go to override these "features."

All of this. Also check your drivers. I remember hearing that the was a bug in one version of the driver that limited fan speed to 20%

The Fan-Bug was fixed with Crimson 15.2

You should be able to set the temperature threshold for the fans to kick in direclty with a Gigabyte software or entirely disable the passive cooling for idle situations. Nothing is broken anyway, as all the previous comment stated.

Thank you to everyone, i've noticed when the temps get above 60 degree's they kick in, but i'd prefer it to start a little sooner, i'd prefer it to be a little louder than a little hotter, so i might try the MSI Afterburner
