Gigabyte 990fxa ud3 rev.4

Unfortunately  it is the only available 990fx board here in the Philippines. Other better boards like the asus m5a99fx pro and asrock fatality 990fx pro are no longer available

the ud3 rev.4  is the only option that fits my budget..

i heard a lot of negative feedback about the rev.3 with regards to its vrm and overheating issues thats why im thinking twice of buying this mobo

what can you people say about rev.4?

Is it made better and worth buying?

yeah BIOS and VRM problems. if you are going to fit a cpu in it, plz dont pick the 8350. put in a 6300 or something less powerhungry. Gigabyte didnt show the competence to deal with the high power demands in their series, Especially the UD3 series. I'm sorry but there is nothing ultradurable about this board.

There are some cases where users claim the UD3 has been flawless for them, So I guess not all of them blow up.

I hate to be this guy, but dont make me say 'I told you so'.

(I had my gigabyte mobo make burnspots behind the powerphasing mosfets with a mild overclock...)

ok thanks man! i guess i will wait for few more month and see if the rev 4 is better... or patiently wait for other 990fx to be available..

I run the rev 1.1 now, never had issues like I did with the rev 1. I have my 8120 at 4.5ghz 1.425v 24/7 and it's capable of 4.7ghz even with 1866mhz ram.

I also have had great success with rev 1.1. Never any issue over clocking  phenoms or FX chips.

You can put Kingston 8GB (2 x 4096MB), DDR3, 2400MHz on the GA-990FXA-UD3 rev 4.0 with an AMD FX X6 6350 AM3+

Or the Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 with an AMD FX X6 6350 AM3+ and the Kingston 8GB (2 x 4096MB), DDR3, 2133MHz???
