Will be able to provide better shots now as I found my point & shoot, no more potato pics
Update: Well my Cameras borked sad panda so until further notice Potato pics will continue
just a quick question why 7970's? Just a project to play with liquid cooling?
you ought to get silver coil into your water reservoir - its much better than any of those kill-chems.
A very cool mod:
Use your grills with AAA battery
-> Means make a mesh from copper or something conductive, fit with rubber at the edges. Then mount that at your grill placeholders this will collect all dust&light particles.
(basically make/buy electrostatic air filter)
Just make sure its not contacting any conductive elements of your case.
I was thinking of getting 290X's but with the 300 series coming out imminently, plus I got the 7970's dirtcheap, I figure they're just placeholders until I can budget, let the dust settle over the new card releases and review in a few months.
I have an existing Kill Coil from my previous build, the new Monsoon fittings are silver plated as well.
Must try that mod
wait...
THAT'S A THING!?!?!
what THING
electrostatic dust filters
yeah been using that for last 5 years, and its awesome.
i have server running outside on my porch throughout the year, built encasing with wood; used electrostatic air filters. After looking inside of it after year - there was pretty much no dust at all.
(but filters were already black with dust at least 5-7cm of it)
These new EK Rads are damn thick bastards and hold over 400 ml of liquid.

From L - R. Black Ice GT Stealth 240 (30mm). Swiftech QP 360 (35mm). Alphacool NexXxos 120 (45mm). EK XTX 240 (64mm)
love that 64mm ;>
how does it handle cigarette smoke, I restrain myself every time I clean my friends family's computers
I don't smoke at all, but if I think about it should stop dust particles ~ at least 90% of it. I use same filters on my AC unit at home.Though about using wireframe on windows too; but never got around to do it.
I wouldve gone Monstas, but at 80mm way too thick ;)
where did you get those?
would they have 20-30 that would fit here?
(80mm)
oxiode and frozen CPU have dual 80(160) and 92(184) rads
