Why are you running it with sudo?
Issue with spice clearly, this may be fixed in bleeding edge. As a test, please connect without spice enabled (-s).
My bad, there was no need to
running looking-glass-client -s makes it stay on the same screen as before endlessly

Have you removed the virtual GPU? Have you installed the guest GPU drivers? Do you have a monitor or a dummy plug attached?
I grabbed the latest bleeding edge download, apologies not sure which version to get then. I also tried the latest official release
In virt-manager I have a Video entry set to model as “none”, I can’t remove this, the option is greyed out
Yes, Nvidia drivers installed.
I have a monitor connected and it displays fine on it (albeit at 480p due to a cable restriction)

B1-rc6 = B1, so you want the B1 host, they must match.
Perfect.
That’s super low… what cable could possibly restrict it to that? It sounds more like your GPU isn’t operating correctly as even old school VGA can do higher then 480p.

In any case, this is your issue, you need to get your guest GPU working correctly.
B1 host and B1 guest have been tried
That’s something I have been thinking about, it’s an old HDMI cable so it can’t possibly be limited by that…
Any pointers? I got the Nvidia drivers installed, is there anything else that needs to be done?

Check Device Manager to see if your GPU drivers are actually loading. Being a NVidia card you likey have the code 43 error, which happens when NVidia GPUs detect they are running inside a VM.
