Getting Keyboard and Mouse to work through KVM HID ports?

KVM Model:

1.4 Display Port KVM Switch - Triple Monitor - Two Computer

USB Interface (5-gigabit or 10-gigbit):

10-gigbit

Problem:

No mice or keyboards seem to work in HID ports

Other Notes:

I’ve tried a handful of different keyboards and mice (Corsair K70 Mini Pro Wireless, Corsair K100, Ducky Shine 5, random no-name mechanicals, Logitech G502 wireless), and none seem to work on the HID ports.

They work fine through a powered USB 3.0 hub connected to one of the USB 3 ports, but the hotkeys (double tap scrolllock/ctrl) don’t seem to work.

The hotkeys only work on the USB HID ports.

Is this behavior consistent for the front and back HID ports?

Yes. As near as I can tell, the devices receive USB power (my wireless mouse starts to charge), but neither connected Windows machine detects any new devices when devices are connected to the HID ports, nor any of the devices “power up”, so-to-speak.

@wendell thougths?

This is strange that he’s tried a few without luck. I know the logitech mouse should work for instance.

@Level1_Amber I power cycled both computers and the KVM, and some of the previously tested input devices are now working. The Ducky Shine 5, GMMK2, and Logitech G502 wireless all work properly, and hotkeys are working as expected.

My working theory is that the KVM’s firmware got itself in a weird state while I swapped various connectors around.

the k100 only works in bios mode otherwise it’s non hid. my guess is that crashed the hid stack
