Getting a Monitor and Need Some Help!

I've been saving up for a new monitor so I can have dual monitors. I have picked out this one Acer H236HLbid (20 dollars cheaper on amazon).

I had set up some stuff that I wanted on my monitor. I wanted 1920x1080, atleast 23" and I wanted a IPS panel. My budget is $180-$200 I would like an HDMI input but not essential. It has to have DVI-D Dual link though. I can just use a HDMI to DVI cable.

I need help because the norm for gamers is 2ms however 5ms is okay for gaming especially with the newer IPS panel monitors and has no ghosting. But I wanted to know was Because I record my gameplay and get money doing it should I go to 2ms or stick with 5ms. I am a competitive gamer/video,photo editor.

If you can notice the difference between 2ms vs 5ms then you are not man, you are machine.

So im guessing thats a 5ms?

It is absolutely gorgeous, and meets all the criteria. And I have seen it in stores and compared it to several other brands, it still stands out. Assuming you are okay with high-gloss displays.

It looks beautiful, but it doesn't even come with a HDMI cable, it comes with a VGA cable but it doesn't even have vga input. I like it but I want to stick with my theme which is black.

Go find a discount bargain store, like an Ollies or a Big Lots, and buy a four dollar HDMI cable. Trust me, there is absolutely no difference betweent he usability of a four dollar one to a fourty dollar one.

Then why don't you just match them and get another Acer? That would look very nice and be a hell of a lot easier to use.
