Gentoo systemd issues

(Just thought I would just drop this here before I go trawling)

Anyone else here gone to systemd on gentoo? When I go to emerge genkernel, Udev and syslinux is blocking me. which Is a bummer since i need genkernel to generate my initramfs. Anyone got any ways to get around this without totally borking a working install?

You need to use genkernel-next

Sorry should of mentioned that the same blockage is happening with genkernel-next as well.

I'm thinking I might have to totally remove udev and systemd and then emerge systemd. Just worried about breakage lol

Are you following the guide? https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Systemd

You might need to remove udev from the world file emerge --deselect sys-fs/udev

You legend, i knew my haterd for gentoo's wiki would bite me In the ass. I usually just trawl through fourms. This time i will use the guide(with reluctance).

Cheers mate
