Hello im new to this forum after a bit of trouble whit the community at linus tech tips. and was wondering wiht the new fx e parts owuld it be a good idea to go whit an fx e set up in matx form factor
Well the new fx e parts are pretty damn good for the price and the power consumption for a 32nm part at those clock speeds is very impressive. They'd be great micro atx parts if there was a quality board in that form factor. You can get AM3+ boards in Matx but they're all lacking diverse connectivity and quality power delivery. I'd still recommend going Intel for Matx. Maybe if you want to still use the fx e parts go full atx in a smaller atx case?
well i could see about that but my friend gave thsi case the cooler master n200 for 15 $ bucks and i would really like to use it
im using a ASRock 880GM-LE FX AM3+ AMD 880G + SB710 Micro ATX its not the best bord but it gets the job done
so what do you mean by not having quality power devlviery
There is a section on all motherboards that regulates power to the cpu and ram. The micro atx am3+ boards are quite old, and weren't meant to run the fx line of processors. They don't have that many phases (more phases, the better-in general), and some cpus such as the fx-8350 require stronger power delivery. If the board does not have a strong and quality power delivery, many problems can arise.
