In other games, it doesn’t start at all. In World Of Tanks Blitz, it’ll go to the garage and then Fatal error after a little while. I just had a gtx 960 installed with the same CPU. 
and everything ran great.
I would suggest to completely remove the Nvidia drivers with DDU.
Then restart the system and install the newest drivers,
from the Nvidia website.
tip: might be easier if you already download the latest,
drivers from the Nvidia site firstly.
So you have the files present already.
