Hey guys,
Last year, about this time, being interested in hardware and PC builds and games, I found out about a nice giveaway on a website. The prize was a huge system with crossfire and peripherals that costs about 3000$. Now I'm a member in this community which is like a kind of a social network with the whole users, pages, posts, comments, likes. In order to participate in their giveaways and be eligible there some ground rules like in any giveaway. But, they say to be selected you should have a full profile with your real picture, personal information, PC information, etc.
I'm concerned about this, especially that last April Facebook aquired MassLuminosity and the GamingTribe Platform. And my question to you would be should we be worried about this?
Facebook, although it keeps asking you to fill in your information, most people ignore it unless they want to. But when it comes to winning hardware, I think most people would fill every input field in the form. Could this help them get there hands on more of people's personal data? maybe gamers who are not interested in other social media? Or am I just a paranoid person !
