Gaming/specific purpose desks?

I know I've heard this mentioned before in The Tek or somewhere.  I just remodeled my office and decided to get a new desk, but the prices are outrageous for something of solid construction and design, so I'll build my own.  I've built cabinets, furniture, tables etc so I'm not scared.  What features would you guys want in a desk?  I've heard 'gaming' desk mentioned but can't come up with too many ideas.  I could do an integrated case with glass top so you'd basically be looking down at your pc components, or incorporate that into the side.   Headphone/microphone ports that connect directly to the motherboard and route away from all the noise?  Some hinged pads for your elbows to rest on and move freely?  I'm only putting this in inbox.exe because I'm pretty positive Logan mentioned it in a video.  Also ideas for a  more productive desktop in general, there's plenty of USB and AC power solutions out now, but would they be useful integrated?

These are extreme examples but they are so cool.

Most workstation desk do a great job for gaming:

The Lian Li ones are nice.  I'm definitely going with some type of hardwood for the construction, or maybe a veneered softwood, I want some grains to look at though.  I like the those steel designs and could incorporate those as well.

Thanks for the links.
